Arthritis Advice: Workplace health & wellness

We often don’t think of arthritis as something affecting people at work. But the fact is most people with arthritis are of working age and, for many of them, arthritis does have an impact on their ability to function in the workplace. Colleagues and employers often aren’t aware of the condition, or what to do to support someone living with it. The good news is that people with arthritis can still have productive and fulfilling careers. However, it’s important they take appropriate steps to take care of their condition. In this Arthritis Advice video, Arthritis Society-funded researcher Dr. Arif Jetha, a scientist at the Institute for Work & Health and a member of the ACED research team, suggests things workers with arthritis can do to help manage the impacts of their arthritis at work.
